1. Who we are
Luma is an independent iOS application operated by Yasin Ertekin (“Luma,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). Luma helps people complete healthy activities and use the resulting credits for intentional access to apps selected through Apple’s Screen Time controls.
For privacy questions or requests, contact yasinertekinn@outlook.com.
2. Information we process
Account and identity information
- An opaque guest identifier, device identifier, and Firebase user identifier.
- Your email address if you create or link an email/password account.
- Your optional display name and onboarding preferences.
App activity and progress
- Selected habits, custom task titles, task events, completions, rewards, and credit balance.
- Unlock session timing, duration, credits spent, and whether emergency access was used.
- Subscription entitlement status and product identifier. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
Health, fitness, and verification information
- With your permission, step counts, walking distance, workout type, and workout duration needed to verify a task.
- Task verification summaries, such as verified step totals, distance, or workout duration, may be stored with your task history.
- For photo-proof tasks, the images remain in private storage on your device and are deleted when the proof session ends. Luma may retain verification results such as capture times, quality checks, or a similarity score, but does not upload the photos.
Screen Time information
- Permission state, shield state, unlock timing, and counts of selected apps, categories, or web domains.
- Apple provides opaque Screen Time tokens to the app. Luma does not upload app names or those opaque selection tokens to its analytics or cloud database.
- Device Activity reports are provided by Apple and processed through Luma’s Screen Time extensions.
Diagnostics and analytics
- App version, build number, operating-system version, device platform, and last-active time.
- Product interactions, onboarding state, subscription state, permission status, and privacy-filtered analytics events.
- Crash and non-fatal diagnostic information, including controlled app state and sanitized error categories.
Luma is designed not to send email addresses, names, custom task text, app names, Screen Time tokens, photos, or raw health samples to Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.
3. How we use information
We process information to:
- Provide task verification, progress, rewards, Screen Time protection, and unlock sessions.
- Create and secure guest or email-based accounts and sync supported progress across devices.
- Confirm subscription access, restore purchases, and provide customer support.
- Understand feature usage, improve onboarding and reliability, prevent abuse, and diagnose crashes.
- Meet legal, security, accounting, and App Store obligations.
Where applicable, processing is based on performing our agreement with you, your consent for device permissions, our legitimate interest in operating and improving Luma, and compliance with law.
5. Health data and sensitive permissions
HealthKit, Motion & Fitness, Camera, and Screen Time permissions are controlled by iOS. Luma requests a permission only through Apple’s system prompt. You can decline a permission or later change it in iOS Settings.
Luma uses HealthKit information only for health and fitness task functionality. It is not used for advertising, sold, or disclosed to data brokers. Luma is not a medical service, and the app’s information is not medical advice.
6. Storage, security, and retention
Some information is stored locally on your device. Supported account, progress, verification-summary, and diagnostic information may be stored by Firebase or RevenueCat on servers that can be located outside your country.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, including authenticated access rules and encrypted network transport. No system can guarantee absolute security.
We retain information for as long as needed to provide Luma, maintain security and records, comply with legal obligations, or resolve disputes. Diagnostic and aggregated information may be retained for a limited period or in de-identified form. Backups may take additional time to expire.
7. Your choices and rights
- Manage Health, Motion, Camera, and Screen Time permissions in iOS Settings.
- Use Luma’s Settings to sign out or start account deletion.
- Cancel or manage subscriptions through your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Ask to access, correct, export, or delete your information by emailing us.
- Object to or restrict certain processing where local law provides that right.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Some information may be retained where required by law or for security, fraud-prevention, or dispute-resolution purposes.
8. Children
Luma is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum digital consent age in the user’s jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from a child who cannot lawfully consent. A parent or guardian who believes a child has provided information should contact us.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Luma changes. The current version and effective date will remain available on this page. Where required, we will provide additional notice in the app.
