1. Agreement
By downloading, accessing, or using Luma, you agree to these Terms of Use and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Luma.
These terms supplement Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If a provision conflicts with Apple’s required terms, Apple’s terms control to the extent of the conflict.
2. What Luma provides
Luma is a productivity and wellbeing tool. It can use Apple’s Screen Time APIs to shield apps you choose and can award in-app screen-time credits after selected tasks are completed. Depending on the task, verification may use a focus timer, HealthKit, Motion & Fitness, workout summaries, or private on-device photo proof.
Features, task availability, rewards, limits, and integrations may change as the service evolves. Luma may require a compatible Apple device, supported iOS version, internet connection, and permissions controlled by Apple.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old, or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction to use the service and consent to data processing. If you are not legally able to enter into this agreement, a parent or legal guardian must review and accept these terms for you where permitted.
4. Guest access and accounts
Luma may create an anonymous technical account so supported progress can be stored securely. You may choose to link or create an email/password account for account access and syncing. You are responsible for providing accurate information, safeguarding your credentials, and notifying us if you believe your account has been compromised.
You may sign out or start account deletion from Luma Settings. You can also contact support for account and deletion requests. Deleting the app from a device does not by itself cancel an Apple subscription.
5. Subscriptions, trials, and billing
Some or all Luma functionality requires an auto-renewing Luma Plus subscription. Available plans, prices, billing periods, introductory offers, and trial eligibility are shown on the Apple purchase screen before you confirm a purchase.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID account after confirmation.
- Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your account may be charged for renewal within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple ID subscription settings.
- Trial or promotional eligibility is determined by Apple. Unused trial time may be lost when a paid subscription begins where applicable.
Purchases and refunds are administered by Apple and are subject to Apple’s policies. Cancelling prevents future renewals but normally does not provide a refund for the current period. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.
6. Device permissions and safe use
Luma’s Screen Time, HealthKit, Motion & Fitness, and Camera features depend on permissions you control through iOS. You can decline or revoke permissions, but related features may be unavailable. Apple, system restrictions, device restarts, network conditions, or operating-system changes can affect blocking and verification behavior.
Luma is not an emergency-control, parental-control, security, or medical service. Do not rely on it to prevent access where failure could cause harm, and do not perform tasks while driving or in an unsafe environment.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use Luma unlawfully, fraudulently, or in a way that harms others.
- Attempt to bypass, probe, overload, disrupt, or gain unauthorized access to Luma or its services.
- Reverse engineer or redistribute Luma except where applicable law expressly permits it.
- Manipulate task verification, subscriptions, rewards, accounts, or service data.
- Upload or submit content that violates another person’s rights.
8. Ownership and license
Luma and its software, design, branding, and content are owned by the operator or applicable licensors and are protected by law. Subject to these terms and Apple’s license terms, you receive a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use Luma on Apple-branded devices you own or control as permitted by App Store rules.
You retain rights in content you provide, such as custom task names. You grant Luma only the limited rights needed to process that content to operate and support the service.
9. Third-party services
Luma relies on Apple, Firebase, and RevenueCat services. Their products are governed by their own terms and policies. We are not responsible for third-party services or outages outside our reasonable control.
10. Suspension and termination
You may stop using Luma at any time. We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service or users, comply with law, respond to abuse, or address a material breach of these terms. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination will continue to apply.
11. Disclaimers and limitation of liability
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Luma is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of uninterrupted, error-free, or perfectly accurate operation. Health and activity readings can be delayed or incomplete, and Screen Time behavior depends on Apple systems.
To the maximum extent allowed by law, Luma’s operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or loss of data, profits, goodwill, or opportunity arising from use of the service. These limitations do not apply where prohibited and do not limit non-waivable consumer rights.
12. Changes
We may update Luma and these terms. The current version and effective date will be posted here. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide additional notice where required. Continuing to use Luma after an update takes effect means you accept the revised terms.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the applicable laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without limiting any mandatory rights or protections available to you under the laws of your country of residence. Courts and authorities with mandatory jurisdiction retain that jurisdiction.
